
Annalena Benini was born in Ferrara and lives in Rome. She has been writing for Il Foglio since 2001, covering culture, stories, people and books and becoming one of the most beloved female voices in current Italian journalism. She founded and edits the weekly insert Il Figlio and the cultural magazine Review. She published La scrittura o la vita. Ten encounters inside literature (Rizzoli, 2018). For RAI, she wrote and hosted the television programs Romanzo italiano and Pietre d’inciampo. For Einaudi she edited the anthology I racconti delle donne (2019). She is the author of Annalena (2023).
