Gino Vignali
La notte rosa (Pink Night)
A novel, Solferino, November 2019, 240 pages

A new investigation for deputy commissioner Costanza Confalonieri Bonnet.

Six people injured in a brawl, four drunks fished out of the water, only three missing persons: a great success for the Rimini police since Notte Rosa (“Pink Night”), the summer party that attracts to town thousands of people, could have gone much worse. But the relief only lasts a few hours, just until another missing person is reported: Giulia Ginevra Mancini, hostess of the closing night, the most famous fashion blogger in Italy, engaged to motorcycle champion Malcolm «the Eagle» Piccinelli, local and national glory. As if that were not enough, a car riddled with kalashnikov shots and three dead bodies are found just outside the city. Deputy commissioner Costanza Confalonieri Bonnet’s thoughts are darker than usual. And even her team is not in a good mood. A case that at first looked like a scam soon turns into something really scary.
