On the road up to Australia, to an unexpected love, to a reunion with an old friend.
Sebastiano Schiappacasse is a sport journalist for a big Italian newspaper, but he is persuaded his career is practically at an end. He is fifty years old and lives among incidental relationships and temporary collaborations with other newspapers. But one day the phone rings: his boss wants to see him. He must leave for Western Australia, immediately.
There, in a small town, has reappeared Michele Monari: yes, just him, the TV star, the best-seller author who disappeared ten years before leaving no trace. And above all, he is Sebastiano’s best friend: they shared the years of youth, since the tragic event which deeply marked their lives.
Sebastiano is not willing to leave: he risks to break his own stability, colourless but hardly achieved. But in Australia a happy encounter and a new mystery will force him to a new start, to look back, and into the future along the traces of his lost past… A deep friendship, lost and found after many years. The story of how life could begin again, just when it seems over.
